Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our services, process, and policies.
General
Telehealth allows you to receive medical care remotely via video
consultation. You'll meet with your provider using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. It's secure,
convenient, and provides the same quality of care as an in-person visit for many conditions.
Our services are available to adults (18+) who are residents of Alabama.
You must have a valid Alabama address to receive care and prescriptions from our practice.
We are a cash-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. However, you
can use HSA/FSA funds for our services, and we provide detailed receipts you can submit to your
insurance for potential reimbursement. Many patients find our pricing competitive with or lower than
traditional copays.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and can arrange
payment plans for qualifying patients. Payment is collected at the time of service.
Appointments
You can schedule online through our booking system 24/7. Simply click "Book
Appointment" on any page, select your service type, choose a time that works for you, and complete the
intake forms. You'll receive a confirmation email with instructions for your visit.
Complete your health history forms before your appointment. Have a list of
current medications ready, as well as any recent lab results if available. Find a quiet, well-lit
space with good internet connection for your video visit.
Yes, you can reschedule or cancel through the patient portal or by
contacting us. We appreciate at least 24 hours notice when possible. Late cancellations or no-shows
may be subject to a fee.
Weight Loss
We prescribe GLP-1 receptor agonists including semaglutide (the active
ingredient in Wegovy/Ozempic) and tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Mounjaro/Zepbound). These are
provided through licensed compounding pharmacies as cost-effective alternatives to brand-name
medications.
Generally, candidates have a BMI of 30+ or BMI of 27+ with weight-related
health conditions (like high blood pressure or diabetes). Your provider will evaluate your complete
health history to determine if medication is appropriate for you.
Costs vary based on your treatment plan and medication dosage. We'll
provide transparent pricing during your consultation. There are no hidden fees, and we offer payment
plans for those who qualify.
Hormone Therapy
Bioidentical hormones are chemically identical to the hormones your body
naturally produces. They're derived from plant sources and customized to your individual needs based
on lab testing. Many patients find they experience fewer side effects compared to synthetic
alternatives.
Common signs include fatigue, weight gain, low libido, mood changes, hot
flashes, brain fog, and sleep problems. We use comprehensive lab testing to evaluate your hormone
levels and determine if optimization would benefit you.
When properly monitored, hormone therapy is safe for most patients. We
conduct thorough health evaluations, regular lab monitoring, and ongoing follow-ups to ensure safety.
Your provider will discuss any specific risks based on your health history.
Medications & Lab Work
We partner with licensed 503A compounding pharmacies that are registered
with state boards of pharmacy and the FDA. These pharmacies operate under strict federal regulations
to ensure medication quality and safety.
We send lab orders to LabCorp, which has thousands of locations nationwide.
You can visit any LabCorp location at your convenience—most tests don't require an appointment. Find
locations at labcorp.com.
Most medications ship within 1-2 business days and arrive within 3-5
business days via standard shipping. Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee. All
packages are shipped in discreet packaging.
